The reformer is designed to add resistance to increase intensity or add assistance to help perform the excercise depending on the clients needs. It will condition the body while training it to move more efficiently. Some excercises will focus on range of motion when others will isolate joint stabilizers feeling the results by the end of each session.
This class uses a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and Pilates. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercise that focus on isometric strength training (holding your body still while you contract certain muscles) combined with high reps of small range of motion movements. The class incorporates light handheld weights as well as mats for targeted core work.

This workout routine develops strength, balance, flexibility, and core stability - all essential for a healthier lifestyle. By varying your body position while in a suspended position, you control how challenging the workout can be. All levels welcome. Class sizes are small so instructor can assist with modifications to your specific needs.
Based on the teachings of Joseph Pilates, this 55 minute core workout will strengthen and stretch your torso in ways you didnt know it could. You will begin by learning the importance of the breath deep inside the body and work outward. In this sequence of excercises, you will educate your body how to stabalize and articulate one area at a time finishing off energized and mobile.
